About the book

This book is some sort of a chat with yourself. That is why it is written in the first person, except for some introductory pages where I talk to you as the author. You can take those pages out if you want. I won't hold a grudge against you.

I know, you are wondering why you should even have such a book.

Do you know John Goddard's story?

On a rainy day, a boy named John Goddard was sitting at the table in the kitchen. At the top of a yellow piece of paper he wrote My Life List. Under the title he wrote 127 goals.

Those were not simple and easy goals. They included climbing the highest peaks of the world, researching the longest rivers and piloting a fast airplane. One of the goals was to run a mile in five minutes and read the whole Encyclopedia Britannica.

Until today, John has fulfilled 109 goals. That is the power of the written word.

How to use the book

Most important, you have to enjoy the book. You can read it or just leaf through, but it is mainly a book which wants to push you to be active. Put it on the night stand or desk. Think about what you want in life. During the day, at night, while talking to somebody, while walking, working, reading a newspaper. Wherever and whenever.

There are many ways to use the book. There are no directions. It's your book. 

My advice is to dedicate 10 minutes every day for one year to the creation of the book. Step by step. For example:

Stick your picture on the first page of the book and design the page. Spend some time on the introduction; think about your dreams, vision, goals, successes...

Devote some attention to the topics. You do not necessarily have to follow successively. Maybe you think gluing a picture of your dream car is completely unimportant. Skip it. Maybe it is better to think about who you would like to get old with. Maybe about the languages you would like to learn...

The intention of the book is for you to do something that will fulfill your life, something that will make you feel better. What that is, decide for yourself. When you know what it is, it will be easier to take action which will lead you to the desired goal.

Don't forget to have fun. You can create your book with your family or your friends. But you can lock yourself in a room and write it yourself.

The book was designed in a way which would render possible for you to change the order, take out topics you don't like.

We will help you fulfill the book. We will be adding new topics and enable other ideas to come to you. Twenty years ago it was really hard to talk about what kind of mobile phone you wanted. The world changes and so do we and other things in it. Of course, you will keep your book, and just add new sheets of paper.

It is important that you do not put this book away on some bookshelf. Although the format is pretty big, we added a small pocket book which you can always keep with you. In it, you can write your new ideas and use them to fulfill your book.

Let this be your book. The book of your life. I really hope to hear from you one day that this book helped you become a better person, whatever that means to you.
